It's a Real Workout in 20 (or so) Minutes September 4, 2010 Robert J. Puharic (pennsburg, PA) I wanted to incorporate weight training into my fitness program, but didn't want to lift weights, go to a gym, or use the large equipment - so this looked like a fun, effective alternative. It is. Each workout is flanked by a brief warm-up/cool-down segment. The workout itself is 20 surprisingly active, total body challenging minutes. The best part is you don't mind it when you're doing it, but you feel it afterwords. The production values may not be up to par with fit-tv, but don't let that distract you - it's a great value for the time, the money and the effort.
Fake Reviews August 27, 2010 coleyco 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Looking for user reviews on this product, I landed here, mostly just to figure out what size of bell to start with. I'm sorry, but the majority of these reviews are obviously planted by the manufacturer. If not, you people have the best grammar of any comments section I've ever seen on the internet. Perfect spelling and punctuation, review after review. I would have more confidence in your product if I believed you let people review it honestly. Even the "complaint" of the videos being cut and pasted together is conveniently addressed in multiple reviews as not affecting results, adding authenticity to the review as a whole.
I still believe this DVD set looks promising, but these planted reviews raise more doubts that I had before I read them.
Works Pretty Well, but... August 27, 2010 Casey K. (United States) Kettleworx Six Week Transformation
The Kettleworx program I ordered came with a 5 lb. kettlebell and 7 workout videos plus one introductory instructional video. The videos are repetitive and the moves are simple enough to follow them the first time. I had my doubts at first that 20 minute workouts would be effective. But I am into my third week of the six week program and am surprised to see noticeable results! I feel that my posture has improved, and I feel more toned in all muscle groups in my body. I see some new definition in my arms, legs, and abs, and my back feels stronger. After doing the workouts, entire muscle groups are sore. The movements in the video are moderate--no jerking or fast lifts. So far, I have had no injuries and no additional pain from the herniated disc in my back, which limits the type of exercise I can do.
On the down side, these videos don't seem to have been edited professionally. I am surprised that the instructor allowed the DVD's to be marketed as they are. Be aware that the instructor doesn't always perform the same number of reps on each side of the body. Some of the sequences are way off--3 on one side and 8-10 on the other! To balance out the reps I switch off each time--I mirror him on one set and follow his verbal instructions (right or left side) on the next set. On the ab video, the instructor alternately stands and and then gets down to do mat work--up and down several times. I don't think it was intentional because the instructor doesn't really give enough time to safely get up and down from the mat. My 12-year-old could have put the clips together in a more logical way!
Overall, I don't really enjoy the workouts, but the program is effective and seems safe and I plan to continue with it. For the cost of the program, the instructor should have created unique 20 minute workouts for each video without reusing the same clips! If I had had a chance to preview the entire program before I bought it, I think I would have looked into some other kettlebell workouts before investing $90 in this one.

kettleworx actually works--it is surprisingly effective, and has a sound foundation in exercise physiology--a good work-out and investment. By the way, hand weights work f.ine, no need to buy the bell thing
Would not work in my televisions!!! July 18, 2010 Mrs. Sandra Queen (New Freeport, PA United States) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wish I knew if this was a good set of DVD's or not; I purchased this set, but have never been able to use it, as none of the DVD's would work in any of my televisions.
Attempts to rectify this problem with Amazon went ignored, leaving me out a bunch of money, and still holding a defective set of DVD's.

Too bad, I have been a loyal amazon customer every week for over a decade!
Too bad their customer service does not match the wonderful variety of products they offer. :o(
