Works Great February 18, 2010 G. Vasquez Does exactly what its supose to do! I had 300lb on it and it seems pretty stable!
Good inexpensive squat rack. February 3, 2010 CNS This is a good squat rack for the money. It would be better if it was heavier gauge steel and had some type of spotter. I also would like it better if the back part of the "bar holder" extended up higher. I could have had all of that if I had another $200 to spend, but I didn't. That being said; I like it.
Great value, sturdy squat rack for your home gym January 2, 2010 J. Pangelinan (Lawrence, KS) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this item for my garage Crossfit gym. Its a good value for the price. It was easy to assemble. The photo does not show the rack at full extension, but it does extend higher for back squats, front squats, and shoulder presses. I also bought a flat bench to go along with this item for bench pressing. Just be sure to brace the squat rack against a wall or something sturdy to prevent it from sliding back when racking the weight on the bench press. (And have a spotter!)
The only modification I made to this rack was to pad the hooks to prevent scratching of my olympic bar. The hooks are somewhat small and I would prefer higher backstops on them, but they work fine as is. I'm happy with this purchase and would recommend it for home gym use.
The most weight I've had racked on this product was 250lbs. At that load, there weren't any problems with the rack.
Great value December 5, 2009 Roadrash 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this to aid in my crossfit workouts. It was very easy to put together and does the job perfect. I could of spent 350 bucks on a similar design. I am glad that i didn't this is stable and works perfect for the money spent.
It holds up the weight. November 6, 2009 M. Moody (Kaysville, UT) I'm not squatting anything crazy but this holds it up. What more could I expect?
