Great for the price! August 17, 2010 Dustin J. Potter This was my first bench and it preforms wonderfully. Takes a few hours to assemble, but is fairly straightforward. Great for light weight lifting, affordable, and compact! Only issues I have with it are it's a little on the small side; at 5'7", my head falls back over the back rest, but this isn't a huge issue. Other issue, and more importantly, this thing needs constant tightening of its bolts, they loosen up very easily. I'd still recommend it as a starter bench.
Easy to set up and use May 27, 2010 Carlos Chippewa (West Coast, USA) This was easy to put together and changes from one position to another without any hassle. All you have to do to change the back angle is lift it up and the supporting bar behind it slips into a piece that holds it in place. Just pick it up again and disengage the bar to put it back down.
Workout Bench May 15, 2010 Phyllis Vitale Lewis This was the perfect size for me (5' 1"). It was fairly easy to construct and the proportions are compact for my workouts.
Pretty good March 24, 2010 Bud Valley (New York) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this bench because my gym was getting way too crowded and I didn't want to wait for equipment any more. I figured I would get a bench and some dumbbell handles and work out at home. This bench seems to be pretty good for my purposes and is a great deal for the money.
It took me about an hour to put together. You will need at least 2 adjustable wrenches to assemble it. Once I started using it I found that the foam knee roller pad bar was getting in the way too much, so I took it off. I still have the bottom ones but without the top ones they aren't very useful for situps or anything.
This bench is pretty small. I am 5'5'' so it works for me but I can see it being pretty uncomfortable for taller people. It is sturdy over all, just make sure you are tightening the bolts as much as possible during assembly, or it's going to wiggle.
Overall, I'd recommend it for those who are on a limited budget and need something so they can do exercises like shoulder press, bench press, dumbbell rows, etc. If you are a powerlifter or an extreme bodybuilder you should definitely shell out the extra cash for something more versatile.
Dont buy it March 21, 2010 N. Gilbert 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got it and it was a pain just to assemble it. I had tried for 2 hours and then gave up. I had returned the product the next day. Trust me, don't buy it.
